With the MO2X microscope optics with 2x magnification, the PI 640i infrared camera from Optris is now able to capture IR images of complex structures. For an exact temperature measurement, 4×4 pixels are required (MFOV), so that objects with a size of only 34µm can be measured. Thermal resolution is 80mK. The focus of the optics makes it possible to work at a distance of 15mm from the object being measured. The maximum resolution of the camera is 640×480 pixels at a frame rate of 32Hz and even at 125Hz, the camera has 640×120 pixels.
247MP CMOS by Sony
Sony recently released a 247MP rolling shutter CMOS image sensor available in monochrome (IMX811-AAMR) and color (IMX811-AAQR) variants which have a 64.84mm diagonal, a square pixel array, as well as 5.3fps.
