Optonic’s PartFinder offers the possibility to load own CAD geometries for bin picking applications and to find them in the point clouds of the Ensenso 3D cameras from IDS. The tool is integrated into the EnsensoSDK GUI. After loading a CAD model, PartFinder can be set up and used in the NxView GUI. The point clouds of the Ensenso cameras can be used directly for the model search. The search results in different part positions and the effects of individual search parameters can be evaluated interactively. An integrated multiple evaluation ensures correct differentiation between similar component positions and high recognition rates.
