The Inther Group’s fully automated robotic picking solution Gripp (Gantry Robotic Intelligent Piece Picker) was developed with the aim of increasing picking throughput. Regardless of the shape of the items, the robotic arm picks up a given item every three seconds, serving up to twelve order totes in parallel – a total performance of up to 1,200 individual products per hour. An integrated height measurement system determines the height of the article. In addition, the net weight of the products and their gross weight including packaging are determined, length, width and height are recorded and defective and/or incorrect products are identified immediately. The weight and result of the height measurement are combined by the system software to specify how fast the robot may move the gripped products.
Long Range Sensor for large Measuring Distances
The optoNCDT 1760-1000 long-range laser sensor by Micro-Epsilon also measures at distances of up to 2m with up to 7.5kHz.
