Thanks to the integrated daylight filter, the Dualis O2D500 vision sensor by ifm is extremely resistant to ambient light. The version with integrated polarizing filter is suitable for applications with highly reflective objects. Real-time maintenance options indicate, for example, changes in the continuously checked image sharpness and the image brightness to an unintentional misalignment. In this case, the sensor can automatically issue a warning. In the event of strongly fluctuating lighting conditions, the sensor takes up to five images with different exposure times and then selects the optimally illuminated image for quality control. The Dualis is equipped with a memory stick on which the parameters are stored that are used to transfer all the settings and parameters required for operation to the new sensor in the event of a device replacement.
