Absolutely safe x-axis position for SIL 3 and PL e
To determine a safe absolute position, Pepperl+Fuchs offers a combination of the PUS evaluation unit with the safePXV or WCS sensors. Safety functions (SF) in accordance with SIL 3 and PL e can be achieved with minimal integration effort. The safePXV non-contact absolute positioning system only requires a camera-based sensor because it creates intrinsic redundancy using multicolored DataMatrix codes. For linear-guided applications such as electric overhead conveyors and stacker cranes, it offers millimeter-precise positioning over distances of up to 10km.
