PTC has added Step Check to its Vuforia augmented reality solution to simplify visual inspections in manufacturing. This guides users step by step through the inspection tasks with context-sensitive work instructions. The instructions are displayed on the physical product to be inspected. The tool also detects improper assembly, missing or misaligned parts and similar errors. Thanks to color-coded graphics that Step Check displays in real time on the part or product in question, employees can see at a glance whether it passed the test step. In addition, the tool automatically documents the test results and creates dashboards to analyze the tests carried out.
